Lindsey K. Erdmann is an associate in the law firm of Knight, Manzi, Nussbaum & LaPlaca, P.A. Ms. Erdmann was admitted to practice law in Maryland in 2003 and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. Her practice is focused in the areas of family law, adoptions, guardianships, wills, trusts, and estate planning, and probate and estate administration.
Lindsey graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2000 with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies. At the University of Delaware, Lindsey was a member of the University Honors Program and received the University of Delaware Scholar Award in 1996. Lindsey was also awarded two Honors research grants at the University of Delaware.
Although Lindsey's interest in becoming a lawyer began at a young age, it was her judicial internship with the Honorable Chandlee Johnson Kuhn, Chief Judge of the Family Court of the State of Delaware that really solidified her career goals. As a judicial intern in Judge Kuhn's chambers, Lindsey assisted in the development of a new tracking system for juvenile drug and alcohol offenders.
Upon graduating from the University of Delaware in May 2000, Lindsey entered the University Of Maryland School Of Law. While in law school, Lindsey was selected as an Articles Editor on the Student Editorial Board of The Business Lawyer, the official journal of the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law. Lindsey received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law in May 2003.
Lindsey was a Summer Associate with the law firm of Oberly, Jennings, & Rhodunda, P.A., in Wilmington, Delaware in the summer of 2002. In this capacity, Lindsey drafted briefs, motions, and complaints filed in both state and federal courts and involving a wide variety of legal disciplines, including corporate law, criminal law, personal injury law, and employment law.
Upon graduating from law school, Lindsey began a judicial clerkship in the chambers of the Honorable Julia B. Weatherly, the Coordinating Judge of the Family Division, Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland. Among many duties, Lindsey drafted orders and opinions and reviewed motions filed in family, criminal, and civil cases.
