John F. Shay is a partner in the law firm of Knight, Manzi, Nussbaum & LaPlaca located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Mr. Shay's practice is concentrated in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, criminal defense, and municipal law.
A graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, Mr. Shay has been licensed to practice law in Maryland since 1981, and was an Associate County Attorney for Prince George's County for two years before joining our firm in 1983.
Mr. Shay is a trusted advisor to many local towns, and has been town attorney for several local communities including the Town of Berwyn Heights since 1984, the Town of Bladensburg since 1985, and the Town of North Beach since 1988.
